Included batteries were great and the 9v charger is great as well. It charged my Lenmar 9v perfectly. I was worried about purchasing the Lenmar charger because of people saying it just continues charging until you unplug it (not good if you forget). I can say this charger does shut off after about 4-8 hours depending on the battery charge.

I like this charger because is the only inexpensive Energizer that has 6 bays and 6 charging circuits, (4 AA/AAA and 2 9v.), not 2 series circuits and 4 bays like most in this class. Yep, it'll charge 1-2 9v. batteries too, but not at the same time as the 1-4 AA/AAAs because the 9v. bays are in back of the AA/AAA bays. The 4 2300mAh AA batteries are working well so far.

So far the Energizer battery charger works good. Before I bought it I purchased a Radio Shack charger that lasted less than six months. Plugged it in one day, heard a pop and it was dead. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the Energizer. Also, this unit charges more different types of batteries than the Radio Shack unit at the same cost.
