We had bought one of those generic "old-timey" popcorn makers and I tossed into the trash once we received this gem of a popcorn maker. The best factor for me was to be able to clean it up so it looked like new each time we used it. We use ours at least twice a week in our "theater" room and the popcorn tastes great. It makes enough popcorn for 2 people to share easily (large amounts) and pops up fast without a lot of waste. I love having the unpopped kernals that fall in the bottom of the "trash bin" for easier clean up too!

I rated this popcorn maker with two stars for the follow reasons.
1. The warmer light (only a 60 watt bulb) is woefully inadequate to keep the popcorn warm; it just provides a little light. We tried popping several batches of popcorn for family movie night and the popcorn was cold by the time we had enough for everyone.
2. The "Full Size" should say "1/8 Size" popcorn maker, this machine makes enough popcorn for one person.
3. A "Full Size" popcorn maker is 32oz, like what we used at the store where I use to work.
I purchased the machine thinking it would make enough popcorn for my family, and boy was I wrong. If you are purchasing this for one or two person at the very most you will be happy with it. But if you are purchasing this for a family movie night at home then look else, because this machine cannot make popcorn fast enough neither can it keep popcorn warm.
